Multi-tasker

I lied.

I did have some decay in one of my teeth. Although, to be fair, the hygenist said it all looked clean. But a week later when I went back to see the dentist, he was concerned at one spot, so I made an appointment to come back and get that filled in.

The appointment was this past Monday, late in the afternoon. I got a call on my cell phone from the office, but I missed it. Not recognizing the number, and seeing no message, I called the number back. It was someone from the front desk. While I was on the phone with her, the person who originally called tried my desk number.  For whatever reason, I took the call, thinking I could convince them both that I was on the other line with someone else from their office. I wasn’t very convincing.

So, I just held the same conversation with both of them.

They were both asking if I could move up my appointment and so, with a phone on both ears, I said, “I’m sorry, I can’t reschedule and come in earlier.” They both said ok, thanks and hung up.

Now THAT’S multi-tasking!

Wow. You actually called the number back? I scan all my unknown calls. If it is legit for me and they have something to say, they’ll leave a voicemail and THEN I’ll call them back. No calling back missed phone calls with no VM :)
    Impressive multi-tasking tho!
